Petit Abri Apartments

Situated next to the tranquil, family-run hotel Petit Abri, the Petit Abri apartments are something of a rare gem in Champoluc.

Hotel features:

Recently renovated, the four apartments are a welcome addition to the village, as self-catering accommodation is limited. Petit Abri Apartments are a mountain home-from-home and is perfect for large groups and families with each apartment reflecting the comfort and style of the sister hotel, with traditional wooden features and cosy furnishings.

You have everything needed for a busy family ski holiday – including undercover parking, satellite TV and a washing machine. All apartments are across two floors and each bedroom has an accompanying bathroom, either en-suite or separate. Two apartments, Daisy and Rose, have double and twin beds and can sleep up to 6. The third apartment, Celeste, sleeps up to 5 and the largest, Blanche, can sleep up to 9.

Each apartment comes equipped with a kitchen corner, complete with a hob unit and microwave, giving the chance to create some basic homemade meals using local produce – excellent cuts of meat from the butcher, a sweet treat for dessert and lots of wines and cheeses.

With Petit Abri Apartments you have the beauty of choice – you can go fully self-catered or half board with breakfast and dinner from the hotel. Guests can also enjoy the spa facilities – the perfect way to wind down before returning to watch the sunset from the apartment terrace.

We have just returned from a great half term week in Champoluc staying at the Petit Abri Apartments – Daisy.

We were impressed by the space in the apartment. There was an endless supply of hot water for showers and the underfloor heating was great..

The kitchen facilities were perfect with full fridge, induction hob, combi microwave and dish washer and the Wifi was excellent too for teenagers!

The location is on the edge of the village but this is clearly stated on the website and provides the benefit of peace and quite and great views of the mountains. The very friendly ski 2 bus staff took only a few minutes to collect us each morning – sometimes arriving as we put the phone down to the office!!.

Remember to bring dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid etc as this is not provided.

We would be very happy to stay here again.

We were very impressed with the apartment, which was comfortable & pleasantly furnished.

It would be most helpful to have an information folder of the meal options available at the hotel, the WiFi details, the disposal of the rubbish & the key arrangement at the end of the stay.

When going downstairs the last four stairs were in total darkness & you had to grope to find the light switch, which was somewhat perilous.

Having said that, we LOVED our stay & will return!

We have just returned from a great half term week in Campoluc and stayed in the Petit Abri Apartments – Daisy.

We were very impressed by the space in the apartment, with a good sized living area and then two bedrooms and bathrooms. The 3 balconies were also a very good surprise even it was a bit cold to make full use of them. There seemed to be an endless supply of hot water for showers and the temperature was perfect despite the very cold external weather. All of the beds were very comfortable as indicated by the need to have to set an alarm to make sure we woke up each morning in time.

This was our first self catering ski holiday and the kitchen facilities were perfect with full fridge, induction hob, combi microwave and dish washer. In addition the washing machine was a great bonus – no more hand washing socks!!

The location is on the edge of the village but this is clearly stated on the website and provides the benefit of peace and quite and great views of the mountains. The very friendly ski 2 bus staff took only a few minutes to collect us each morning and the hotel staff were happy to call them for us. We chose to walk back through the village each evening rather than getting the bus and even when carrying shopping the walk is only about 15 minutes and for part of the way is along the river.

One area that could be improved would be the lack of wine glasses (although 2 were provided as soon as we asked) and perhaps providing dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid etc as it is not efficient or environmentally friendly for each set of guests to have buy their own each week.

Just had a superb week staying at the Petit Abri Apartments ! Our family of 5 enjoyed the space provided in apartment 4 , Blanche. All beds were very comfortable and we loved the duvets ! We didn’t do much cooking but found all we wanted except a toaster and that quickly appeared once requested.
The apartment was clean and tidy and we were grateful for the two well appointed bathrooms and the numerous soft towels , sadly no bath but the showers were great . The washing machine got a good work out too ! Only down side is the distance to the lift , but we rarely waited more than 5 minutes for the ski2 bus each morning and benefited from the peace and quiet at night time. Highly recommended !

We were a little disappointed by the apartment.

We had no rubbish bin, sharp knives, or cork screw.

We had no information given to us about taking the rubbish to the communal bins in town, it wasn’t a problem to do this but we just didn’t know what we were supposed to do.

The communication about all of the above issues did not go very smoothly and I was regarded as an irritation.

These were all quite small issues but the attitude from the hotel wasn’t great and although we did have a lovely break, the apartment could have been better

We would have liked clean towels once during the week at least.
