There are a number of quality restaurants to choose from in the mountains around Champoluc. Outlined below are some of our favourites, where you can use your Ski 2 Lunch Vouchers and which we consider to be the best for quality and price.
In return for your Ski 2 voucher, you’ll be offered an option from a choice of dishes, plus a hot or cold, alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink. If you’d like a more elaborate meal, then you can use your voucher towards it and pay a small supplement.
The system will be explained fully when you arrive in resort and you’ll be given your vouchers and a map of the restaurants that accept them.
Tucked away to the side of Del Monte piste on the Frachey side of the Champoluc ski area, this popular mountain restaurant attracts Ski 2 guests throughout the season. On the cold days, the wood burning stove is a great focal point of the indoor dining area (and a good place to dry damp gloves and clothing!). Towards the end of the winter, the rooftop seating area becomes a magnet for those looking to enjoy the panoramic view and warm sun’s rays.
Easily accessible by skiers of most abilities, La Mandria comes highly recommended and is the most visited restaurant that accepts Ski 2 lunch vouchers.
Run by Max and his friendly team, the restaurant is open throughout the season and offers a great range of local dishes and snacks. Ski 2 clients have a choice from 6 lunchtime dishes including at least one pasta dish, plus a hotel or cold, alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink.
The new ‘favourite’ amongst Ski 2 clients who love both the location and the atmosphere at this restaurant, perched on the ridge between the Champoluc and Gressoney ski areas. With a spacious ground floor dining area and cosier first floor restaurant with wood burning stove, Colle Bettaforca has become best known for the delicious pizzas that it serves and a choice of which are available for a Ski 2 lunch voucher, along with a choice of hot or cold, alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink.
Accessed from the ‘Covered Chair’ which rises from 2,180 metres, the Colle Bettaforca is well placed for a lunchtime shop and later in the season, the outside bar also attracts those stopping for an afternoon break in the sunshine, with far reaching views across to Punta Jolanda and onwards down the Gressoney valley.
Situated at Crest and overlooking the nursery slopes at 2,000 metres, this restaurant might not be the most authentic on the mountain, but it does provide a good resting point and some great views.
With jaw-dropping views of the glaciers of the Monterosa mountain range from its wrap-around balcony, the Sitten is a popular stopping point half way down the Sant’Anna chairlift (affectionately known as the “covered chair”).
Situated just a few metres from the top of the funicular at Frachey, Du Soleil overlooks the bottom of La Mandria chairlift and benefits from sun on its terrace for most of the day throughout the season. Whilst maybe not the most atmospheric of all of the Ski 2 restaurants, it offers good food and a warm welcome and is a perfect lunch stop for those skiers enjoying the easier pistes of Frachey. As is the case at all of our featured restaurants, your Ski 2 voucher entitles you to a sandwich or bowl of pasta, together with a choice of drink.
This recently-built restaurant is situated at the ‘top of the world’; on the ridge between the Gressoney and Alagna valleys and with far reaching views in both directions. Perfect on a cold day for those wanting to escape the cold January breeze at nearly 3,000 metres, or equally pleasant on a sunny Easter day enjoying the spring sunshine on the large terrace outside!
Abri du Ski
Formerly a bar that many of us just skied past on the way down the piste Ostafa 2, the Abri du Ski has been renovated over the summer and is now one of the restaurants that accepts Ski 2 vouchers. With a large terrace overlooking the valley for those sunny days and an interesting domed restaurant for longer lunches on colder, snowy days, we anticipate that this restaurant will prove very popular with Ski 2 guests. Well worth a visit during your holiday in Champoluc!
Situated at the bottom of the Sant Anna (the ‘comfy chair’) chairlift on the way down to Gressoney, Jutz has always been a popular stopping point for morning coffees and Bombadini! The venue now accepts Ski 2 vouchers so you can marvel at the views of the Monterosa range from their terrace whilst enjoying lunch.
A favourite après-ski stop at the end of a long ski day, Lo Bistrot is also well positioned for those wanting to ski the Pistone piste during the day. Ski down from Crest late morning and enjoy lunch at this popular restaurant, before heading back up the gondola for an afternoon on the piste.
You can also use any spare Ski 2 vouchers here after skiing for apres-ski drinks!
As part of the redevelopment for the new gondola, there is now a new outdoor après-ski bar at the bottom of Pistone, the piste back into the village and opposite the steps to our ski deposit. Bar Kondor is one of the resturants which accept Ski 2 Lunch Vouchers.
